Books for Sale for a Great Cause!
You’re invited to visit the Charity Bookshop operated by the volunteers of the Groton Auxiliary of Child & Family Agency.
All proceeds benefit the programs and services provided by CFA to families in need.
Charity Bookshop offers incredible bargains on hardcover and paperback books, CD’s and DVD’s. Located in Groton at 591 Poquonnock Road, it is probably the best-kept secret in CT.
Charity Bookshop is just up the street from Sneekers Cafe on the Groton campus of The Child and Family Agency of Southeastern CT. The bookshop is a year-round fundraiser that sends 100% of its receipts to Child and Family Agency. MapQuest will lead you there if you click onCharity Bookshop.
Prices range from $.50 for children’s paperbacks up to $5.00 for art & coffee table books.
Readers will find a great selection of fiction, non-fiction and some beautiful children’s books. Fiction ranges from bestsellers written by popular authors to quality offerings, penned by first-time authors.
The Charity Bookshop is open three days a week, on Wednesday and Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM; Thursday from 2 PM to 5 PM.
The shop is operated by a team of friendly, helpful volunteers who are members of the Groton Auxiliary of Child and Family Agency. Volunteers hail from Groton, Mystic, Stonington, Ledyard, Gales Ferry and Waterford.
