SBHC at the National Quality Initiative!
The School Based Health Center (SBHC) Program has been participating in the National Quality Initiative (NQI) through the School Based Health Alliance and the Center for School Mental Health “CoIIN” (Collaborative Improvement Innovation Network) project; aimed at prioritizing performance measures and sustainable business practices for SBHCs programs. CFA was one of 55 SBHCs in the country to participate amongst over 2,200 other clinics: and will be a “pioneer” for those other clinics to adapt these measures. CoIIN participants at our agency were Vera Borkowoski (New London High School) and Andrew Konesky (Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School) for Cohort I and Elizabeth Ferland (NFA) for Cohort II. Jason Morrill (IT) provided the required (and extensive) EHR consultation, customized configurations, and system templates required to be part of this Initiative. Thank you Vera (pictured far right) for representing CFA at the National School Based Health Conference in Long Beach, CA and accepting our award for our participation!!!!
