Reunification & Therapeutic Family Time (RTFT)
Reunification & Therapeutic Family Time is an intensive support service for families with children in Connecticut Department for Children and Families (DCF) custody, whose goal is family reunification.
It includes the Readiness for Reunification Assessment, Supervised Visit Coaching, and Reunification Services.
This therapy uses a strength-based team approach to engage and support families, focusing on reunification transition and/or strengthening the parent-child bond.
About This Program
Reunification & Therapeutic Family Time uses the Visit Coaching Model to support families and strengthen or build the parenting skills necessary to safely and effectively parent.
Services include:
- Parenting education and skill-building
- Parent-child relationship development
- Safety planning
- Therapeutic family time supervision
- In-home visitation
- Case management with linkages to community resources
- 30-day reunification readiness assessment
- 24/7 on-call support
