CFA’s December 8th Book “Pick” Auction

December 8, 2014 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

The Monday, December 8th “pick” auction features books on art, history, and fiction. We’ll have a sword that reputedly was used during the American Revolutionary War and a nice selection of books on Vermont and its history. In addition, there will be books on science, mathematics, physics, and other subjects. There will be a nice collection of leather bound books, the 1935 Choate School Yearbook which was the year John F. Kennedy graduated, and a copy of Le Monde D’Albert Schweitzer inscribed and dated by Albert Schweitzer. Lastly, we’ll have several paintings, prints, and posters.

Of Interest: Gowan (1986), Petra; Harada (1937), A Glimpse of Japanese Ideals; Mac Orlan (1964, limited edition), Yves Brayer et Paris; Capurro (1960, Signed), Gauchos Prendas y Costumbres; The New York Herald Newspaper for April 15th, 1865 “Assassination of Abraham Lincoln;” Beehler (1913), The History of the Italian – Turkish War; Conn (1969, 2 Vols.), U.S. Army in the Korean War; Farrer (1885), Military Manners and Customs; and Crane (1901), Great Battles of the World.

Also several turn of the century account books including that of a Blacksmith in the Stowe Vermont area and Huldah Mead’s of Greenwich, Connecticut Scrap Book from the 1800s.
