Our promise to families

At Child and Family Agency we believe in providing a safe, nurturing environment where children are free to learn, grow, and develop while preparing for success in school and life. Through our Early Childhood Development Centers in New London and Groton, CFA provides affordable, high-quality, year-round care to children ages 6 weeks – 5 years old.

The cfa difference

Support for the whole family.

Our programs and schedules are created with you and your family in mind. Each center provides full-day, year-round care and education to children as young as six weeks. Each center is licensed by the Office of Early Childhood and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

A proven approach to education.

CFA utilizes the following research-informed curriculum and developmental standards in each classroom: Second Step Social Emotional Curriculum for young children, CT Early Learning Development Standards (CT ELDS), Brigance Early Childhood Screening, Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ-3), and the CT Dots Assessment Tool.

A holistic approach to early childcare.

Each enrolled family has access to the CFA Medical Clinic, Outpatient Mental Health Clinics, and Family Resource Centers.

Financial Support

Child & Family Agency re-assesses its tuition fees annually.  Should tuition fees change; families will be given a 30 day notice before tuition increase takes effect.

Sliding Fee Scale
Child care fees are set according to the CT Office of Early Childhood (OEC). CFA offers a sliding-fee scale based on a family’s size and gross annual income.  Required documentation includes gross annual income in the form of the family’s most recent tax return or W-2. Four consecutive pay stubs may also be used in the event a tax return or W-2 is unavailable.
Care 4 Kids
All working families who meet specific requirements may be eligible for the State Child Care Assistance Subsidy (Care 4 Kids).  Please visit www.ctcare4kids.com  for more information.  You may complete this subsidy application upon enrollment in our childcare programs.
