Clinical Mental Health Internship Opportunities

Outpatient Services:

• Placement in one of our four clinics: New London, Groton, Pawcatuck or Westbrook
• Individual, family, and group psychotherapy
• Assessment and diagnosis
• Weekly case review meetings
• Psychiatric consultation
• Learn about EBPs including: TFCBT, MET-CBT, SBIRT, and MATCH
• In-person availability required
• Weekdays and some evenings
• Open to practicum and internship students

In-Home Services:

• Placement in model-based family therapy program
• Team approach/travel to family’s homes in natural environment
• Assessment and diagnosis
• Weekly case review meetings
• Psychiatric consultation
• Exposure to highly rated evidence-based models:
  • Family Functional Therapy (FFT)
  • Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT)
  • Intensive In-Home Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Services (IICAPS)
• Extensive clinical training
• Afternoon and evening availability required
• 2^nd year or advanced standing interns only

School Based Mental Health Services:

• Placement as an outpatient therapist in a school-based clinic in Groton, New London, Waterford, or Stonington
• Exposure to individual, family and group psychotherapy
• Work with students in their natural school setting
• Learn about school systems and advocacy
• Exposure to CBITS and MATCH evidence-based practices
• Weekday hours to match school schedule
• Internship requires sufficient clinical experience to carry a caseload

We review internship applications on a rolling basis as they are received. To ensure full consideration, please submit your application at least three (3) months before your desired start date. Applications received closer to the intended start date may not be considered if positions have already been filled.
